This week Plant Lovers...a triumph...of sorts. My five year old seedling Cattleya Claesiana 'Flamea' has re-bloomed for me. Last year it struggled to produce two flowers - it's first year. This year two great spikes! And....Cattleya intermedia 'Orlata' X 'Dennis' that I bought with a dead flower spike last year has also re-bloomed for me! Both are fairly complex hybrids and some of their shared ancestors have spotted markings...and it turns out both flowers are basically identical....and I don't LOVE them!! Dilemma Plant Lovers!!
We'll look at both plants and review basic Cattleya care in my conditions; these two grow outside all year under cover. And then talk about what to do with them...!
The supplier I mention is: https://orchidsonnewbold.com.au/
