In this lesson, we'll cover the two main open tunings that I use almost every time I pick up the guitar to play blues guitar with a slide. Open G, or Open G Spanish as we learn in the video, is used in songs like Rollin' and Tumblin and Can't Be Satisfied. Interested in the gritty sound of Open D - also called Vestapol tuning - watch the video to learn how to get in tune, then check out songs like You Gotta Move by Mississippi Fred McDowell.
