This week Plant Lovers a success of sorts! Two of my Brassias are in bloom at the same time! Now these two haven't been known as Brassias for a while...they were...then they weren't...now they are again! Brassia keiliana ( a species) and Brassada Mivada (a hybrid) are the two we're looking at.
And I am MOST thrilled that Brassada Mivada has bloomed! I bought it three years in bloom in a January and it's taken all this while to decide to flower again in the month of September which is when I filmed this.
And poor Brassia keiliana! I did promise to take better care of it last year...and failed! It has been attached by every pest on earth but still managed to send out three spikes of fragrant blooms! So in this video we'll review care and possible temperature hardiness which, if I'm brave enough, might see a change of growing conditions for one of these!
