Hey what’s up everyone, it’s Derek with Nerd or Die, and I’m going to show you how to set up our free custom CSS for Twitch Alerts - to create some Overwatch themed alerts.
Let’s get right into it.
So we recently released some Overwatch overlays, and decided to make some alerts that fit the overall theme. But, you can use these designs for any stream design of course. I’ll even show you how to customize these alerts just a bit, towards the end of this video.
In this tutorial we’re going to set everything up in Twitch Alerts, but if you use Muxy.io - I made a video for setting everything up in that system as well. To start, head over to the Nerd or Die store to grab this pay what you want item. Please feel free to set your price $0, and then proceed to checkout to download the files needed.
When you’re done checking out you’ll be presented with a few download links, but the most important will be the Custom Alerts file. Download this file and double click it to open it up in your web browser, or you can simply drag it into your browser as well.
The file is a basic HTML page that contains the code and helpful information about setting up your alerts. You won’t need to know any HTML or CSS to set this up - just a bit of copy and pasting.
On the downloaded page you’ll see a couple of things, written instructions on how to set up these alerts, HTML code on the left, CSS code on the right, and some helpful links.
Let’s go ahead and walk through the instructions.
For the alerts to look like the example, you’ll want to make sure to install the Big Noodle font, the link will be in the description of this video and in the helpful links section.
