Nakoma lives with her village in the forest near Meliora. It's too small and carefully hidden, that Maleficent can notice it properly. She first met Rose, on one of her walks through the forest. They fast became close friends, due to the fact Pocahontas wasn't in the village anymore and Nakoma missed a friend.

After a while Rose disappeared. Nakoma started to miss her and worry about her. She left the village to search for Rose. Finally she found her, but Rose was different than before. She didn't even seem to know her anymore. Nakoma asked her what happened and got answers she can't believe. This wasn't the gentle Rose anymore she first met.

In spite of Rose's change, they started to meet again regularly in the forest. Secretly so Maleficent didn't notice. Nakoma was still concerned and every night Rose spent with her in her tent, she tried to hold back her tears, when Rose cried herself in her dreams.

All Nakoma wants is to protect her friend. Never to leave her and keep her away from the bad side.
