Construction on Twisted Cyclone seems to be nearing the finish line (at least for its main stage - track construction). With just over one month to go, the construction of the track for the new hybrid roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia is down to its last piece!
With an opening date to the general public of Memorial Day weekend, this new thrill attraction will be unlike any other. In the meantime, construction crews are hard at work. During a visit to the park on Sunday, April 15, 2018, crews were dodging rain drops to keep the progress on this construction project on track. With a heavy rain storm hitting the area, it appears the last piece is just days away from installation.

With about two months until Carowinds opens its gates for the 2019 season, we had an opportunity to tour the construction site of its latest thrill attraction, Copperhead Strike, a dual launch coaster set to open in March. With track already completed and much detailed work (i.e. electrical and theming) underway, the coaster project is on track to open as scheduled. Take a look at all of the progress thats been made in recent weeks and months. Coaster Addicts Butch, Sandi, and Luke were at the park for the tour on January 16, 2019. In addition to the coaster project and newly-reimagined themed area, Blue Ridge Junction, the park is hard at work on a new hotel project (SpringHill Suites by Marriott).
