Twinmotion has a very nice library of free materials. It is one of the things that makes it a valuable tool in your architectural visualization workflow. However, sometimes you need some custom materials that are very specific to your project. Alternatively, maybe you want to experiment with a PBR workflow, and use texture maps you have exported from Quixel Mixer, or Substance Painter. It is indeed possible to do all of these things, and I will demonstrate how in this lecture. This lecture is part of an upcoming Udemy course on Twinmotion, which is intended to get you up and running in a matter of a couple hours. You might be surprised at how quickly and easily you can go from basic SketchUp / Revit model to full VR walkthrough with Twinmotion. You'll see in the video that the realism of Twinmotion is not quite as strong as some other programs, but there are still things that it excels at. As I have discussed previously, I believe it will be an important part of the arch viz world moving forward. That is mostly due to Epic Games, who now owns Twinmotion. Epic has shown a dedication to the arch viz community that I really like, and I believe they are working hard to develop good tools for them. I am excited to see what they do with Twinmotion moving forward. Twinmotion is currently still FREE, but not for long. Get it now.
