If you frame perfect alternate between A and B right after triggering the map with the d-pad (overworld or in a dungeon) or right before the game forces you to view a map or after choosing the warp option while talking to Midna you delay the map opening. The delay lasts as long as you keep alternating between A and B frame perfectly, but the map will only come up during regular gameplay. Doing this with the Midna option however prevents her dialogue from completing completely and you are then still considered to be in a dialogue which makes the game crash very easily if you let go of alternating the buttons during another textbox. Also the dialogue map opening has higher priority, thus the stored map from the Midna dialogue will come up anywhere including in all cutscenes as soon as you let go. Choosing to warp will always fail while in a cutscene and cause map glitch
