The TVK government in Tamil Nadu has announced its decision to withdraw cases registered against farmers and teachers who protested over their demands. The move includes cases involving farmers who opposed the proposed Parandur airport project and other land acquisition plans. Chief Minister Vijay said the decision was taken on humanitarian and democratic grounds. Meanwhile, Left allies have urged the government to also withdraw cases against students who protested against NEET, with the Law Minister saying the demand will be considered.
