The March meeting of the VFS Commercial Air Transport working group featured a presentation by Vector Robotics CTO Gabriele Giorgini, who discussed the solar-powered drones that his team is designing, building and flight testing.
Giorgini has more than 16 years of experience in mechanical design, energy engineering and product development. He has led innovation programs across multiple industries before focusing on unmanned aerial systems. At Italy-based Vector Robotics, he oversees platform architecture, structural design and the development of ultra-endurance micro fixed-wing drones for defense, public safety and persistent aerial operations. Giorgini holds multiple patents in mechanical and aerospace systems.
