This promo is one of five of the “PBS’s Late Night Cartoons Block.”
Origins: In June 8, 1971, a group of workers and an intern had the idea of having cartoons on the Public Broadcasting Service, as they got to work a day later. They had the idea of six cartoons, and snuck it in the PBS Heart Promo without anyone noticing, however; viewers noticed that these shows weren’t supposed to be in the line up, and one worker allegedly got fired for this, as of June 2008, only one has been found.
