Latest windows live messenger / msn displays your first and last name, and using any form of spaces as your last name now fails to work. Here is another way I figured out to get around it. : ]
1. Start - Run (or windows+R) - Enter charmap
(or open from Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools)
2. Search for left right mark and copy
3. Paste into last name and save.
