This talk will do a quick review of Network ASIC architecture basics, such as multiple packet processing engines architecture vs Pipeline packet processing architecture, different packet buffer architecture followed by Network industry trend and how different industry ASIC architectures serve different market segments, finally will go into some detail such as architecture choice/throughput/features by using Juniper ASICs as case study and also show some history how today's networking ASIC evolved.
