Original Cough Snare Tutorial: youtube.com/watch?v=8u_Yf1OPvSU
Efaybee Elimination: youtube.com/watch?v=JLfPuFZvK_c
Welcome back to YOU Can Beatbox. In todays episode we’re learning a variation of the cough snare that we learned in tutorial #32, which is linked in the description. This cough snare can sound pretty cool and give a nice grimy feel to slower beats and sounds like this [demo]. One of the most famous examples is Efaybee in his World Champs elimination which I’ll also link down below. And this snare also sounds like a bit like Napom’s cough snare but it’s a little different. Anyway enough talking.
This snare takes the foundation that we’ve already learned in the basic cough snare and adds an –sh suffix to it to give you a new sound. Our original cough snare is made by giving a short, not breathy cough as your snare. Now, like the psh snare, add an –sh onto the end to go from [eh demo] to [esh demo]. Cough and add an –sh. You’ve got yourself a nice variation of the cough snare.
Moving to some practice beats:
B Esh bB B Esh x2 (Hip Hop)
B B Esh B bB B Esh x2
Do work and congrats on learning a new snare. A word of caution: this snare because it is a simple cough, may put some stress on your throat and vocal chords so make sure to take things slow if you feel things start to hurt. Health is more important than learning a new noise a few days faster. That wraps up this sound. Please like this video if you learned something and subscribe to the channel for more beatboxing content. Thanks for watching YOU Can Beatbox and next time well be learning the hihat train or trap hi hats [demo].
