EBRD and donors help make Kastamonu Entegre’s production more sustainable.

Kastamonu Entegre is one of Türkiye’s largest producers of wood panels. Using smart technologies and the latest design trends, it offers a range of products, from MDF to laminate flooring and door panels.

With support from the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) and Türkiye under the EBRD’s Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF), the Bank and its partner financial institution TSKB helped Kastamonu Entegre to install a new biomass power plant in its factory in Balıkesir.

The plant transforms the waste that is not suitable for manufacturing or recycling into environmentally friendly electrical and thermal energy.
