Even in remote places on Earth, a mobile phone can save your life, thanks to Lifeseeker, a new engineered system created by startup CENTUM. Lifeseeker locates phones as an emergency beacon, pinpointing a person’s location down to five meters in around five minutes. This technology has already been used in more than 100 search-and-rescue missions.
