If you do historical costuming you may have old woollen stockings that are past wearing. Don't throw them out, turn them into knitted sleeves!
Today's tutorial re-purposes a pair of stockings into frilled sleeves dyed with madder, suitable for sixteenth century wear, but stockings re-used as waistcoat sleeves are also known from the eighteenth century.
This is a good costume project for those with basic knitting skills looking to add an upcycled accessory to their outfit.
