I am making a "Historically Accurate" Disney Princess costume, turning Princess Anna's Harvest dress into an 1890s ballgown. I decided to use a 1905 House of Worth gown as inspiration to make my very own version of the bodice, but embroidered with delicate art nouveau flowers. In this video, I discuss the House of Worth circa at the turn of the 1900s, and what goes into making a bodice from this era. I also talk about digitizing and embroidering gowns from this time period.
A GIANT thank you to Abby Cox for teaching me ALL about 1890s ball gown bodices! Please check out her channel at @AbbyCox
