I was asked to make something special for the eight Class of 2014 seniors in the high school marching band. I turned 8 pens from a log that came from behind the stadium where they play music on Friday nights. The log was already pretty dry, which was good because I didn't have time to wait. It turned out to be spalted maple and the coloration inside made for some beautiful pens. Congratulations to the Class of 2014!
