By doing a twisted roll on the first HESS frame, then holding the joystick roughly in the original facing direction at the end of the roll (first possible backflip frame or "frog frame") then inputting a backflip on the next frame, it is possible to roll in in one direction and then megaflip or megasidehop in that same direction rather than away from it or performing a twisted megaflip/megasidehop.
I encountered a scenario where this would be useful to save some frames and I got the idea from how in OoT, Link can turn around and then megaflip with double chu megas. While this is definitely more involved than that, it can still have niche use cases in a TAS.
