I'm a bit late to the party, but I just got an iPhone 17 after finally letting go the ghost of my 12 Mini. Which means... I now have an Action Button! I've always wondered if the iPhone Action Button could be used as a hardware play / pause button for music, and now that I've got one... it turns out it can!

I may be unreasonably stoked for this. But if you want to make your iPhone more Walkman-like, here's how to make the Action Button a dedicated media play / pause button
