In this video I turn a 15 1/2" x 7" live edge black locust bowl for a fella at work, he commissioned it and paid for it several moths ago, unforortunatly my lathe has been out of action due to a faulty VFD, well I fixed it on friday and got this bowl basically finished this weekend, all I have left to do is add a few more coats of satin Osmo oil and remove the tennon
I have been woodturning since 2013, I love it as a creative outlet.
For me it has been a journey, from my great great grandfathers wooden bowl that i own to my fathers the community or woodturners is great, there is lots of help and support out there available at the touch of a button. don't be intimidated or scared to ask questions no matter how basic, most of all be safe in your workshop, follow all safety rules and guidelines.
use channels such as mine as inspiration and entertainment.
it is recommended to get proper training with power tools to prevent accidents
most of all remember to be creative and have fun
