Nearly 2,000 Turkish citizens and some foreign nationals began evacuating from Beirut late Wednesday, boarding a Turkish military ship sent to provide aid and transport them out of Lebanon, which has been impacted by Israeli airstrikes.

Nations worldwide have begun evacuating citizens from Lebanon after a sharp escalation in the conflict between Israel and Iran-backed Lebanese armed movement Hezbollah. People are also fleeing on their own.
