Verse:
Hit the ground hard when I fell from the sky
As a part of me from the past lay and died
Dolls and crayons rained down onto my head
Dreams of innocence buried under my bed

Queens and dragons ruled my day dreams
I learned quickly nothing is as it seems
New duties were thrust upon me
No longer could I be meek and carefree

Chorus:
A sorceress gave me a prophecy
“you’ll have a struggle for autonomy
Internal and external demons will
Fight for your progress to stand still
The turbulence will possibly win
Depends partly on who you call kin
If you’re not careful it’ll take you under
Learn when it’s best to surrender”

Given a quill and a long scroll
Told to write all that my heart told
All the truths, all the lies, and all the pain
For one day I’d need it when I reign

Travelled to many kingdoms near and far
Discouraged from wishing on a star
Taught the importance of education
One day I would have to lead a nation

A seer gave me some terrible news
“Some difficult things you’ll have to diffuse
Others you’ll have to instigate
Be careful the right side doesn’t obliterate
The turbulence will judge and challenge you
Demand almost daily breakthroughs
