Turbo A/R Test. .48 vs .63 on a T04E-46 turbo. The test was run on a modified 2.0L Zetec motor in my 2008 Ford Focus (for my book on Focus Performance). The tighter A/R improved torque production on the 2.0L by 50 lbs-ft. This was an impressive gain given that it was only making 100 lbs-ft at 3000 rpm! The bigger A/R will make more peak power.
