Zeus presents Tunnels of Armageddon (un-emulated) for the Amiga A500, a true classic from the golden era of amiga gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1989
Zooooooom through 20 tunnels spread across 5 zones on your mission to confront the mothership which you must blow up, if you succeed you will be awarded the secret of faster than light travel but if you fail the aliens will destroy Earth (I have shown this "bad ending" at: 50:40).
Whilst zooming through the tunnels you wil encounter various enemies that will shoot at you, they will drain both your energy and damage bar, if either of these bars hit empty It's game over, hitting the tunnel walls also reduce your damage meter, there are also bonuses to collect on the way to help you such as more powerful fire power and energy boosters but It's still a rock hard game so you'll also need alot of luck,...in my case a version that was personally trained for me :-D
Also there are different sections of tunnel that are more difficult than others, they grey sections are longer but easier, the red sections are the shortes but hardest to navigate and the green sections are a compromise between the two and every time you hit the walls a little more of your energy drains.
As said this is a rock hard game, It's smooth and fast but damn hard, I fail to see how anyone can complete this without cheats, I mean there's an energy bar, a damage bar and a timer which is triggered when the red bar at the top reaches the end giving you 46 seconds to reach the end of the tunnel otherwise It's game over and the planet is destroyed.
As mentioned I have had this personally trained for me as there has never been a trained version before and it does not contain any cheats within the game, my version allows me to have infy energy, no damage and the timer removed, because of this I can now show the entire game running on real A500 hardware, enjoy.
