How do you make short rows in the middle of a row in Tunisian crochet? It's easy with a mix of forward pass short rows and return pass short rows.
You can use these to add length to the middle of a fabric (for a bust adjustment in a top or a sweater), while keeping the sides the same length.

![How to make the Standing Double crochet stitch [CC]
Learn how to begin a row without using chains. This stitch is perfect to keep the edges of your work straight and elegant.
Standing double crochet stitches (standing treble crochet stitches in UK terms) are great to start any row that consists of double crochet stitches.
Its quick, beautiful, and looks exactly like a double crochet stitch.
It is also thicker than a chain, so it it perfect for working in the round, as the first stitch on the round will be invisible.
