In november 2023 maakte een groep leden van de Nederlandse LandCruiserClub (https://www.landcruiser-club.nl/) een reis van veertien dagen naar Tunesië, georganiseerd door Desert 4x4 Explorer (https://desert4x4explorer.nl/ - Facebook: #Folkertkromkamp). Er werd vooral door de zandduinen in de Sahara gereden. De Toyota LandCruisers komen vast te zitten en worden weer losgetrokken, geschept of gelierd. De groep kampeert op prachtige plekken tussen de zandduinen. Midden in de woestijn moet ook een serieuze reparatie worden uitgevoerd.
