This Christmas season, we are forced to be left to our own devices to try to mimic the similar feeling of physically being with loved ones when it’s supposed to be a time for family and celebration. This song was specially written for the UP Concert Chorus (UPCC) by alumni, Augusto Espino. “Tunay Na Pasko” talks about how Christmas has become commercialized to the point where we lose the true reason for the season. This song and this EP by the UPCC wishes that this year’s version of Christmas will not be a hindrance to our celebration of the true meaning of Christmas.
It is a time of God showing His great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. You see, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world.
