Demo of one of the coolest free vst plug-ins doing the job for the real amp while recording - TSE X50. It's obviously the Peavey 5150 simulation. Demo shows how it works in the mix. EQ is always a matter of preferences so it's just and example of how would I use it in modern rocking.mix.
Guitar cab impulse - catharsis-fredman 1on-pres5
Guitars used for this demo - custom Bloody Mary with EMG pickups and Mayones Setius GTM6 with Helldunkel pickups.
Both - backing and solo guitar tracks plugged to x50.
As for the amp sim set up it's flat...all knobs on "zero" (or 12 o'clock if You like) just as it is after first boot. Switched to Red channel. No boost pedal before X50.
