Climate change is a global issue that has impacted North Carolina and other parts of the world. With many sources of information comes many misconceptions. These impact our understanding and ability to adapt and mitigate climate issues. Will planting trees solve the problem? If it is really cold, is that climate change? Join us as we discuss climate misconceptions and why our understanding of climate issues can be impacted both in and out of the classroom.
About the presenter: Alex Trifaro is an educator with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and enjoys sharing science content with the public. Her Masters work looked at how climate change information is communicated, especially in school settings.
