The Crown works fantastically well when used to bring that ‘crunch’ and overdriven sound to an amp at a lower volume, or in bringing the classic British sound to any other amplifier. Tsakalis’s Crown overdrive utilises JFET technology (junction gate field-effect transistor) and from combining three calibrated stages in cascade mode, the resulting tone is a beautifully smooth, creamy, tube-like crunch
