A rainy Sunday is the perfect day to roam about England driving commuter trains. In this nearly two-hour-long stream, I drove EMUs along three routes: London to Brighton, the North London Line, and the erstwhile East Coast Mainline. The first scenario was a snowy Class 377 service that went swimmingly well up to the final stop at Clapham Junction. Next up was the first half of a late evening stopping service in the Class 378 Capitalstar along the North London Line, as fog rolled in. Finally, I took a leisurely jaunt along from the ECML from Welwyn Garden City to Alexandra Palace in a Workshop scenario. Along the way, I had my usual excellent audience of train buffs and Cemetechians, and we bantered our way through the suburbs of London.
Next up will be something a little bit different, slightly more relaxing.
