In a pair of streams spread out over five days, I drove an ALP-45DP on the second half of an evening commute on the US North Jersey Coast Line, a Class 365 on a stopping service along the UK East Coast Mainline, and an ES44AC-led mixed freight train on the Norfolk Southern Coal District. I was joined over these two streams by a variety of friendly folks, and we enjoyed the usual mix of professionalism and just a bit of exciting misadventure.
