We took a detour from the Nights Like This tour to experience the culinary artistry of Smoked Room, 14-seat hidden gem inside Leña in Madrid, Spain. Known for its innovative approach to high-end dining, and decorated with two Michelin stars (three if you count their Dubai location), Smoked Room showcases a stunning fusion of traditional Spanish ingredients and bold, creative techniques.

From the rich, smoky notes of leek ash cheese to the unexpected sweetness of dry-aged beef meatballs, we enjoyed the unique dinner!

Smoked Room features an array of adventurous dishes, including a decadent fried chicken topped with caviar and a "baby burger" crafted from premium picanha. While the Japanese-inspired yuzu kosho and "bull sauce" offer a spicy kick, the real showstopper is a surprising dessert pairing soy sauce and caramel, a testament to the restaurant’s mastery of innovative flavor profiles.

What we ordered:
Avocado starter...layered with pesto and Japanese spices; Sourdough bread served with salami, pepper, and cheese from Kala Veruela, topped off with leak ash (for a smoky flavor); Roasted Chicken Croquettes; Chicken Empanadas with "bull sauce"; Dry-aged Beef Meatballs; Fried Chicken with Caviar; and Soy Sauce Caramel ice cream.
