I love seeing Thai food represented in ways that are different from the usual. Chef Nutcha of Baan Lao is trying to break the stereotype and share that Thai food can be much more than cheap and cheerful takeout.
I've never had Thai afternoon tea before and I wondered how Thai flavours would go with tea, and I gotta say it worked perfectly. The food is flavourful, but chef made it not too strong or spicy so it works with hot tea. This was very well thought out!
