Hey bookmarks and bookworms! Today I am introducing you to the buddy read of Mary Barton I am hosting in October (as it coincides in nicely with Victober- an annual event here on booktube). Join in and read whether you've never read Mary Barton before or if it will be a re-read for you. In this video, I try the first chapter of 5 Victorian novels to get a flavour of them to decide which one I will host as the buddy read- the winner of which is Mary Barton, as you will see! A wonderful working-class tale set in Manchester, with themes of love, murder and romance set against the backdrop of the Industrial Revolution of England!
