Knitting tops from the neck down are very trendy now, especially with raglan sleeves. I thought it would be nice to have a few options to make these raglans increases in pretty patterns, sometimes the only pattern in a simple stockinette stitch sweater.
Pattern:
Cast on an even number of stitches and place a marker half way. On my sample I cast on 8 stitches and place a marker after four stitches.
Row 1 (RS): Knit until 2 stitches before marker. On the next two stitches: (K2tog, YO, K1) all in the same stitch; drop it from needle, slide marker, (SSK, YO, K1tbl) all in the same stitch; drop it from the needle, knit to end
Row 2 (WS): P
Repeat these 2 rows until you have the number of increases desired.
Note: If you are working circularly, round 2 would be K all stitches.
