Heyy so this is a little something I worked on for my bf’s bday. I chose this song for a specific reason and I kind of want to explain what I tried to do with the amv.

So these are the lyrics :
I felt as if I recently hit rock bottom. I was kind of a well run dry, or so to speak. The end is always so hard to imagine but it's easy to be excited for the process. Don't think about the critics or the lack thereof, thinking is all that matters. What matters is what is in your hand, enjoy the embers on your palm, enjoy the steps, but create for as long as you can.

I don’t know what they meant for the singer, maybe for them it’s something totally different than what I interpretated but well I’m gonna explain you my vision of it. So, I thought it was a good reference to art because they’re talking about how the end is hard to imagine but that the process is exciting. They also say things like « what matters is what is in your hand ». So, I took it as a reference to art and to keep continue doing it no matter if you get criticism.

This is the message that Abhijay tried to make me understand. Lately, I’ve had a lot of downs about my editing and I got some criticism and it made me depressed. However, he was there to push me to not give up and it means a lot to me. So, I chose this song because it represents what he has done for me. Editing is a big part of my life and I’m happy he is encouraging me doing it. Also, I want him to know that I encourage him to do what he likes doing no matter what other people say.

And for the anime I chose Violet Evergarden because it’s an anime we’re watching together, but also I thought it would fit well with the concept I just describe because Violet is trying to become better at writing letters and she continues even if some people tell her that she can’t write letters with these hands that killed people. So, I tried to show that she was able to help people (at the beginning of the vid I put some people that looked kinda sad and later in the amv they were happy).

Sooo yeah idk if it was clear I’m not that good at explaining things but it was important to me to explain what I meant with this vid. Sorry it was that long and thank you if you read til there ♥
