It may be no surprise, but New Zealanders' level of trust in government and public institutions is tanking.

Along with revelations that then-Minister for Covid Response Chris Hipkins appeared to know the health risks while pushing through vaccine mandates, Maxim Institute researcher Maryanne Spurdle unpacked key data from an international Trust Index, which ranks New Zealand below the global average and equal with Colombia, a country long infamous for drug cartels and corruption.
