President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the U.S. government to refer to Lake Ontario as Lake America on Thursday.


The name change applies only to U.S. government references to the smallest Great Lake, which borders New York and the Canadian province of Ontario and has been known as Lake Ontario for centuries.
