Steve Grumbine joined the Political Misfits crew to discuss the Trump indictment over Stormy Daniels and its likely political consequences. He feels that rather than hurt Trump’s chances in 2024, which is what Democrats are hoping for in order to divert attention away from their own fecklessness, it will actually help him by making him appear as an unfairly persecuted hero to not only his staunch supporters but other more mainstream Republicans who might otherwise be unwilling to vote for him. Steve points out that to Trump, there is no such thing as bad press coverage, and he will always find a way to use it to his advantage.

Also brought up was the seemingly stark contrast between House Republicans’ angry response to the indictment and those in the Senate who’ve been largely silent on the issue. Additionally, Mike Pence has expressed outrage over it, which in all likelihood is an attempt by the former VP to regain credibility within the MAGA faction of the GOP.

Other topics covered include prosecutor Alvin Bragg, the FBI releasing new files on Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, the Proud Boys’ Jan. 6 trial, AR-15s and more! Be sure to check it out!

What is Modern Monetary Theory?
Modern Monetary Theory is the correct understanding of Macroeconomics.
It proves the following:
1) Taxes don't fund government spending and
2) Deficit spending is good most of the time.

Simple Economics Facts:
Government deficit = Private sector surplus
Government debt = private sector savings
The constraint on government spending is the availability of real assets/resources in an economy, not the federal budget!
