Trump and BBC Ask Judge to Delay $10Billion Legal Battle as President Faces Deposition @RadarOnlineTV

Attorneys for Donald Trump and the BBC jointly asked a federal judge on Aug. 26 to extend pretrial deadlines and move their $10 billion defamation case’s trial-ready date to April 6, 2027, citing unfinished discovery.

The filing notes the Donald Trump deposition remains pending in the BBC defamation case stemming from a Panorama documentary about his Jan. 6, 2021, speech. Parties say additional time is needed as discovery proceeds, including testimony from the BBC Panorama editor, the documentary’s producer, and a White House aide.

The sides report hundreds of discovery requests, seven BBC depositions, and tens of thousands of pages reviewed. It is the first delay request; the judge has not ruled.
