An Amherst police officer was injured after responding to the scene of a crash that caused utility wires to hang low across the roadway. A truck on the other side of the road appeared to strike the low-hanging wires, which then yanked a broken section of a telephone pole that struck the officer. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and was later released. #amherstnh #nh #newhampshire #crash #amherstnhpolice
