Episode 6: Trouble In Shakhovka
Given my play style, it's rare that I get into all-out combat with other survivors.
This journal entry covers my experience of a battle near my lone wolf base in the sleepy town of Shakhovka. During the past few weeks my crew and I have been regularly encountering a hostile new faction on the server... the "Blue Meanies", as our allies have dubbed them.
For what its worth - even though they've killed and robbed me a few times unprovoked - I actually respect these guys for wearing their armbands everywhere they go.
It's not often that you encounter a bandit faction who wears their colours proudly, but I feel that if you're going to play DayZ as a bandit group then you ought to at least have the balls to identify yourself!
In the end our allies raided their Guglovo base and we temporarily restored peace to the region, but at a heavy cost of life. They are a worthy adversary and not to be underestimated. I'm certain we haven't seen the last of them.
