The bike shut off because I didn't lock the bike battery tightly when I installed it. After reinstalling the battery the bike no longer unexpectedly shuts down.
If you purchase the CT20 please check to see if the battery is locked, the screws on the bike are tight, and the tires have enough air pressure before riding the bike.
