Tropical Cyclone Narelle is now back over water off Western Australia with forecast tracks suggesting a third damaging landfall, this time near the north western cape of Western Australia. Narelle has already made damaging landfalls on Cape York and the Northern Territory Gulf of Carpentaria coast. The waters of the Timor Sea are warm and the atmospheric environment is favourable which suggests rapid intensification is likely back into a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours so let’s dive into it.
