Story: Even though The Great Emperor of Abydos is well-known for developing that city into what it is today, there have always been rumors about his cruelty and even dark magic powers. Apparently, there was a complex prison net underneath his great palace which he used to capture and torture his opposers. He died long ago, but there are still some strange things that keep happening in and around the palace. There is a belief that he kept part of his soul inside an artefact hidden somewhere inside the palace. Some terrorists have created an improvised entrance to it, with the idea to find the artefact and use its powers for themselves, while some of the old Emperors followers are also searching for it to save it from intruders. Lara has to find and use the new palace entrance herself to check the rumors and search for the artefact, while avoiding the infamous underground prison. She has just reached the nearby temple...

Story: A living person lights a candle, the dead extinguishes it is the secret rule of one of Chinas legendary tomb raiding sects, the Mojins.
It means one must light a candle in the southeast corner of a tomb before opening the coffin. If the candle goes out, they must leave immediately and take nothing. Legend says its a contract between the living and the dead from the Mojins founders, and none shall violate it. Qin Shi Huang, who conquered the Six Kingdoms to unify China, found a magical Bone Mirror from the secret treasures of the Six Kingdoms. The priceless Mirror, which is said to be able to see through human body, was lost after several wars. A rumor said that the Mirror reappeared in Dunhuang recently, which caused the coveting among the historians and the underworld. Lara, like before, appears in the most dangerous place......
