Both shotguns were fun to fire. The Mossberg 500 was tricked out with a muzzle brake, laser, and light. Was pretty accurate too. The muzzle break did a great job reducing the recoil. Recoil on the Tristar was a bit heavy...but then again - I was firing slugs.
