My previous attempt at casting a 3-layered pyramid was not succesfull. The result was cool, but I wanted the metals not to mix together. My thoughts were that the higher melting point metal would liquify the lower melting point metal and thus fuse with each other. What I did not account for is the fact that aluminum is not such a dense metal as copper, so my cast resulted with not only melting a part of the aluminum, but it went floating on top of the other metals, mixing it up. Today I do it different, I start with the highest melting point (copper) and end with the lowest melting point (aluminum). I think it did work out much better, what do you think?
